Many older amplifiers, even very high quality ones from the 1980’s and before, are are really starting to show their age. These amplifiers often need refurbishing and particularly capacitor replacement, in order to get them to operate as the manufacturer intended. For an older amplifier, we may recommend quite extensive work,
even for what seems a comparatively minor problem, in order to get the
amplifier to a satisfactory state. The result will be an amplifier
that will perform as the manufacturer intended and should give you many
years trouble free service instead of just limping along.
